The valuable collections of the Department of Manuscripts and Early Printed Books are made available in its two special reading rooms, the Manuscripts Reading Room and the Rare Book Reading Room. We offer the best conditions for concentrated research and work there. Our employees will support you in your research on site or electronically and will be happy to provide you with information about our holdings.

In addition to our reading rooms with extensive holdings of research literature, we offer the possibility to place digitization orders, coordinate the conclusion of loan agreements for exhibition projects and are your contact persons for cooperation projects and special research projects.
