Order and delivery

You can order the majority of our works online (order button on the title record in StabiKat or StabiKat classic). Only maps from some extensive map works and the printed maps before 1850 listed in the old map database IKAR still have to be requested by order form. Please contact the information desk on site in the map reading room (orders received by 15:45 are normally made available within 30 minutes) or if you have any questions in advance: kartenauskunft@sbb.spk-berlin.de

Using the collections

The holdings of the map department can only be consulted in the maps reading room Unter den Linden (see also leaflet). 
Specialised literature with shelfmarks "Kart LS HM" or "Kart KS" published after 1956 can often be borrowed for use at home.

Reproductions

After consulting a staff member at the information desk, you can make photos of most of the collection items of the map department or use the large-format scanner (DIN A 1) and scan maps yourself (bring your own USB stick). For high quality reproductions, you can make a digitisation request.
