The Oriental manuscripts, block prints and similar materials or films of these are available in the Oriental and East Asian Reading Room exclusively for academic use and only after prior registration (in writing, by telephone or email). If possible, requests for items should be submitted at least one working day in advance: orientabt@sbb.spk-berlin.de

Users must confirm their consent to the conditions of use by signature. The current conditions for the use of special materials at the Oriental and East Asia Reading Room are available in German and English.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm

Reproductions of Oriental manuscripts, block prints and microforms are available in digital format. Orders can be placed via the Staatsbibliothek Webshop
