Indexing, digitisation and online presentation of the Historical Archive of the Schott Music Publishing House
Project object
The historical archive of the music publisher B. Schott's Söhne was acquired in 2014 by a consortium of the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin, the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek München and six other institutions. As part of the project, the letters, written documents, music manuscripts and music prints that came to Berlin and Munich were indexed and digitised in both libraries. The portal developed at the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin bundles this indexing and digitisation data and thus enables an integrated search within the entire collection.
