SoNAR – Social Network Analysis and Related Research
Project object
The project develops a research data marketplace for historical network research. In the future, several hundred million machine-readable statements about actors—such as individuals and organizations—as well as their social relationships will be made accessible in a bundled form. To achieve this, heterogeneous datasets from archives, libraries, and museums are integrated into a unified social knowledge graph. Researchers who investigate historical questions using digital methods currently have to laboriously compile relevant data from scattered sources. SoNAR creates a central, reusable infrastructure to address this challenge.
