Restoration of the "Displaced Persons" Literature
Project object
The project aims to restore the important collection of Jewish "Displaced Persons" (approx. 440 volumes). These are the books of people who survived the Shoah and were initially stranded in Germany after the war. Due to the time, these books are in a very poor condition. A fundraising campaign by the Verein der Freunde der Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin e.V. (Association of Friends of the Berlin State Library) raised the necessary funds.
