Project object
This project involves the digitisation of a segment of the Arabic manuscript tradition that represents an important section of Arabic literature: the so-called folk or heroic novels. The collection to be digitised comprises about 800 volumes described in the 8th volume of Wilhelm Ahlwardt's catalogue of Arabic manuscripts (1896).
