NFDI4Memory
Project object
The NFDI4Memory consortium brings together research, infrastructure, and memory institutions from the historically working humanities. Common interests and goals are the specific requirements for research data management (RDM) and the further development of historical source criticism in the digital age. To this end, the consortium defines various task areas. In addition to the expansion of digital services and the development of quality standards for processing historical data, NFDI4Memory is dedicated to spreading and fostering data literacy. The consortium also wants to raise awareness for a shared and FAIR data culture. Other task areas aim at promoting the digital community within the historically oriented institutions and making it more visible. As a participant, the State Library of Berlin is contributing various specific data collections to the project along with relevant expertise. The focus is on cataloging personal papers (e.g. "Nachlässe"), manuscripts, technical services relating to large text corpora and processing data using artificial intelligence.
