As both of our buildings are only partially barrier-free, we provide assistance using the library for disabled persons. Due to construction activities in the Haus Potsdamer Strasse, there may be further restrictions on access or in the building itself over the next few years. Please speak to the staff on site or contact us before your visit.

Anyone accompanying a severely disabled person may enter the reading rooms without a library card after identifying themselves accordingly. Service dogs are also welcome.

For persons with technical visual aids for reading literature at home, we generously make older works available for out-of-home loan, if the condition of the works permits.
